Due to its freshness, softness and mineral balance, Hacienda Monasterio 2020 It is a great Ribera perfect to enjoy at any time, even more so when its structure augurs great potential for aging in the bottle.
The privileged "golden mile" of Ribera del Duero It is the cradle of this magnificent red, designed following the principles of organic viticulture and made from a blend of Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. A long aging of 20 months in French oak barrels from Allier (30% new and 70% of two uses) completes and rounds off its vinification.
In 1990, the prestigious Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck arrived in Ribera del Duero to direct and plant the vineyards of Wineries Hacienda Monasterio, a project that Carlos de la Fuente would join two years later. Today, the farm has 108 hectares of vineyards, located in the best area of the D.O., between Pesquera and Valbuena de Duero, and the high quality of the wines that come out of it have made this small firm a benchmark in the region. Hacienda Monasterio Cosecha 2020 is an example of this.At sight it shows a very intense and bright ruby red color.
Mineral nose, with a lot of black fruit and the presence of notes of licorice and violets, well integrated with the tertiary aromas typical of its long aging in barrels.
Firm structure on the palate, with a long mid palate of ripe fruit and delicate hints of licorice, very well integrated with the acidity and tannin of its long aging. The harmony between its intensity, balance and elegance augur great aging potential for this wine.
